I have received Your Excellency's despatch No.160, of the 2nd instant forwarding copies of a pamphlet untitled "the United States in the Philippines by Mr. Alleyne Ireland, V.R.O." and inquiring whether a copy of Mr. Ireland's forthcoming work on Colonization in the Far East may be purchased for the use of His Majesty's Embassy.
I request Your Excellency to obtain two copies of the book when published, retaining one for His Majesty's Embassy and forwarding the other to this Office.
You should include the cost in the Account of the Extraordinary Disbursements of the Embassy.
